Learning curve card game for two players A and B. See about for reader and two player layouts and general rules.

Red And Black Or Black And Red

Playing Time: Two players. Five rounds. About five minutes.

Deck: Use all 54 cards including both jokers.

Objective: Be the first player without any cards during the fifth round.

Gameplay: Collect three cards that alternate in black and red color or red and black color. Two red cards with a black card as the center card or two black cards with a red card as the center card. Retain the three card sets. Giveaway the Jokers as they are worthless.

Giveaway Cards: Giveaway two cards at the end of each turn, or one card, or none if the player has none, or did not use any giveaway cards. Place the giveaway cards in a vacant giveaway card area, face up and slightly aside so the suit and value can be seen. If other cards remain in the player’s hand, they are kept by the player for use in the next round.

Round One: A setup round, for rounds two through five. Deal six cards to each player. Three

cards dealt twice perhaps. During the first round the players must giveaway two cards that cannot be used by either player until the second round. Play any remaining playable three card sets.

Round Two Through Four: Continue gameplay and use only one of the two giveaway card sets to continue making a three card set when possible. The player may choose not to, as the giveaway cards and player’s other cards may not combine into a three card set.

Round Five: Continue gameplay. Deal the remaining six cards, three to each player. One player will play all their remaining cards. The other player will be unable to as the game was just won, or the loser does not have the correct cards for a win.

Hint. A player takes one giveaway card as there was only one. The player replaces the one card with two cards when possible. If neither player wins during round five, there may have been a misdeal, a misplay of wrong card(s) or three same color cards are in a three card set.

Clue: Rare. Both players play their last card(s) during the fifth round and there are no cards left for play. Neither player wins.

player wins.
